How is Misogyny present today?

Here are just a few statistics showing how misogyny exists in the world we live in today.

Medical

It takes on average 7.5 years to receive a diagnosis for endometriosis, something that affects around 10% of women

Politics and Public Life

Globally, women hold only 27.2% of parliamentary seats as of early 2025

Female politicians face more online abuse and threats and often sexualised compared to their male counterparts.

Education

58% of female teachers experienced misogyny from students, 45% from senior leadership and 42% from other teachers.

Over half the girls in the UK aged 14-21 reported being sexually harassed in educational settings. Among those, many report skipping classes. 1/3 of harassed girls said they didn't want to go to school afterwards.
